Our Commitment to You
For over 20 years, your Caregiver has worked with children with disabilities and their families, supporting and advocating for them in numerous community settings, including schools. She has provided Intervention Support and education to parents at home and within the community. Professionally, she has coached and mentored early childhood educators to equip them with skills to better support children with disabilities, which includes behaviour challenges and autism. These opportunities have provided her with the appropriate knowledge and experience needed to ensure that each child, together with their family, receives the best holistic Respite Care.
Her education includes a degree in Child Studies and an advance certificate in Childhood Disabilities. She has sound knowledge of child development, and a good understanding of the impact of disability on children and family dynamics. She believes that parents know their child best. Therefore, she puts every effort into working in collaboration with families and community partners, to ensure the best outcome for each child and their family.
At Family Partnership Respite Services (FPRS), we are passionate about providing families the most needed relief, while ensuring their loved one is nurtured and supported beyond their expectations. We value families’ desires and choices of support and put every effort into listening to families, to ensure best support is provided. Our mission is to provide respite support that gives families a peace of mind, knowing that their loved one is in safe and caring hands. We make every effort to fulfill our mission in the work we do.
At FPRS, we understand that respite is critical for the caregiver and their loved one. Respite provides meaningful and purposeful opportunities for the caregiver to attend to their plans and needs before they are worn-out. Respite reduces isolation and overburden of the responsibility of the caregiver. We aim to create lasting memories by providing a safe and enjoyable respite support for both the care giver and their loved one.
